Having a niche marketing strategy from the outset is a powerful technique you can use to locate not only traditional niches, but also the most obscure and weird but freakishly passionate markets of buyers that you can easily dominate for massive profits as an affiliate.

Done right, you won’t be competing in niches against everyone else who watches it, but regardless, there are plenty of niche profist to go around!

What follows are simple, yet highly effective steps you can employ to ferret our profitable niches. Remember, profitable niches will have competition. Your goal is to find a problem within the niche and provide a solution or a fix.

1. Look for niche that has emotional draw if possible. What are people emotionally connected to? (i.e. weight loss, golf, acne, cheating spouses, celebrities)
2. Look for a niche where there is already competition and products that people are spending money for. (i.e. how to improve golf swing or lower handicap, how to catch a cheating spouse, how to get rid of acne)
3. Analyze your competition using free tools (i.e. Google Adwords External Keyword Tool, SpyFu, SEM Rush, SEO Quake, PPC Spy)
4. See what keywords your competition is ranking for and spending money on! (If they are spending money on keywords, they are probably making a profit.)
5. Jack their keywords. (That’s right, we let them do all the heavy lifting and exploit their findings)
6. Pick low hanging fruit. Choose long-tail keyword phrases (these are keywords with 3-4 words)
7. Write articles using buying keywords
8. Use ClickBank or PayDotCom to choose products to sell in your niche
9. Choose 3-5 products and set up your marketing campaign.

Choosing A Niche…

All successful niche marketing begins with research. Your goal is to choose a profitable niche. How?

1. Competition. Look for a niche with competition. Where you find competition, there is profit potential. Analyze your competition using free online tools ( i.e. Google’s Adwords Keyword Tool, SpyFu, SEM Rush, SEO Quake, PPC Web Spy, Secret Page Spy)
2. Keyword. Look for 3-4 keyword strings that have a minimum of 300-400 searches per month. Browse Google to see how many competitors are running Adwords campaigns. (minimum 6) See what keywords your competition is ranking for nd spending money for…
3. Emotional Connection. Are people emotionally connected to this niche market (i.e. pets, golf, Jimmy Choo handbags, etc.)

• Remember, people buy on emotion and justify with facts!

Now what?

See what keywords your competition is ranking for and  spending money for with PPC. Jack their keywords, pick low-hanging fruit (i.e. long-tail keywords)

Write articles 4-8 using buying keywords ( how to, easy ways to, X ways to, review of, bonus, etc.)

Use Clickbank, Paydotcom for example to find products to monetize your niche.

Choose 3-5 products paying attention to keywords.

Test, rinse and repeat.
